The Situation

Each month larger inventories needed write off with no good explanation.  Additionally, wanted help finding opportunities to improve time spent on non-value activities.

The Challenge

  1. Very manual processes to communicate and record inventories.
  2. Not all steps being recorded. 
  3. Unclear ownership of various stages in the process.

What we did:

  • Identified root causes and implemented new processes
  • Established SOP and provided training to all necessary personnel
  • Implemented system driven process of communication and inventory entry
